Terms governing use of the ModelRefs platform: accounts, acceptable use, user content and ownership, intellectual property, code execution, warranties, and liability.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ModelRefs ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

ModelRefs is an online learning platform that provides interactive AI tutorials, code execution environments, model references, and educational resources. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time.

3. User Accounts

  • 3.1 Account Creation

    To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

  • 3.2 Account Security

    You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

  • 3.3 Account Termination

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we deem harmful to the Platform or other users.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious code or viruses
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Abuse our code execution environment
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Use the Platform for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Scrape, mine, or collect user data without permission
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse our services

5. User Content

  • 5.1 Your Content

    You retain ownership of any code, projects, or content you create on the Platform. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display your content for the purpose of operating the Platform.

  • 5.2 Content Responsibility

    You are solely responsible for your content. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality on the Platform (excluding user content) are owned by ModelRefs and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. Code Execution

Our Platform provides sandboxed code execution environments. We implement security measures to protect our systems, but you acknowledge that running code carries inherent risks. You agree not to abuse this feature or attempt to circumvent security measures.

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MODELREFS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ModelRefs from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law

Except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise, these Terms and any access to or use of the Platform are governed by the federal laws of the United States of America and the laws of the State of Colorado, excluding its conflict of law provisions. The proper venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be the state and federal courts located in the State of Colorado.

Nothing in these Terms affects your rights as a consumer to rely on mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
